The question was simple: “Guess who?”, but it was enough to stump fans of GNEST boy group PERSES.
On 2 March, the group released the teaser to an upcoming single, which it has confirmed will be a collaboration with another group, which has only been identified as one that starts with P and ends with an XIE.
Fans pointed out this could refer to two groups: Proxie or PiXXiE. The teaser sent many of them in a tizzy trying to guess which of the two would be collaborating.
The track appears to be a summer, beach-themed track, with images of beachside dining, barbeque setups and deck chairs. There is also the finely-printed phrases “I would be grateful if you end up in my arms” and “’cause you’re looking like an angel”.
The track, which has not been named, will be the third single off the group’s new album Alterland.
PERSES and Proxie most recently performed together at the Spectacle Concert in Bangkok, and will be touring several Asian countries – together with ATLAS – as part of the Hello Boysss music tour.
Meanwhile, PERSES was a special guest at PiXXiE’s first-ever large-scale concert in 2024, and PERSES member Krittin starred in the MV for PiXXiE member Pimma’s solo single Achoo!
