This year’s GFest Marathon Concert brought together the best of Thai pop, rock – and everything in between – for eight hours of non-stop music.
The two-day concert took place on 9 and 10 August at Bangkok’s Impact Arena. Each of the two days was themed: Sunny Day and Thunder Day.
In total 16 acts – eight on each day – took to the stage in back-to-back fashion. Sunny Day had a pop and pop-rock focus, with acts like T-Pop bigwigs Jeff Satur, Billkin and PUN as well as pop-rock icons Tilly Birds, Lipta, Polycat and Only Monday.
The second day took a darker turn, with Thunder Day boasting a line-up of rock acts, including Sweet Mullet, TaitosmitH, Three Man Down, Slot Machine and Bodyslam.
This year’s edition also featured stunning stage production, with organisers transforming the stage into a completely different act as each act performed.
Fans also enjoyed the large photo backdrop at the concert, where long queues could be seen on both days.
The concert event looks set to make a return next year, with an equally power-packed line-up.
