Five bands have teamed up with civil society groups to raise awareness about politics, as Thailand heads to the polls on 8 February.

The free concert, known simply as Voter Concert, takes place 5 February, and features the following bands: TaitosmitH, Polycat, H3F, Moving and Cut, as well as ปลานิลเต็มบ้าน.

The event, which is free to attend, will be held at the plaza in front of the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre. It is believed to be the first of its kind for the upcoming elections.

In between concerts, there will be “educational sessions” on the “importance and correct way” to vote in the upcoming referendum.

Apart from a general election, Thais will also be voting in a referendum over proposed constitutional changes.
