The annual T-pop Of The Year (TOTY) Music Awards saw 4EVE and newly-minted boy group BUS because of you i shine win multiple popular vote awards.
At the five-hour-long event, hip-hop star Youngohm also picked up multiple honours for his viral track ธาตุทองซาวด์ (Thathong Sound), while Bowkylion continued her winning streak (for a second year running) in the popular vote category for best female artist.
XOXO Entertainment’s 4EVE won the most votes for the female group category, while BUS were the most popular male group, edging out ATLAS who were trailing close behind in the voting.
4EVE’s หยดน้ำตา (TEARS) won the most votes for best music of the year and BUS took home best overall performance. It is the first set of awards for the Sonray Music boy group, who only made their debut in late-2023.
The awards, held at the True Icon Hall in Iconsiam, spanned 21 categories, of which about half were purely based on the popular vote.
Billkin took home the award for best male artist, while fellow fellow were voted best band group, thanks to their wildly-popular track ดาวหางฮัลเลย์ (Halley’s Comet). Nont Tanont’s รักแรก (First Love) – the OST to the movie My Precious – was voted best original soundtrack.
This year’s judges’ choice awards saw a more varied winner circle, with indie group H 3 F winning top honours in the group category and rapper AUTTA winning album of the year.
Jeff Satur was honoured with the best solo artist award, making it his second win in under a month, after he won best male artist at the Guitar Mag Music Awards on 13 March.
Unlike previous editions, this year’s TOTY Music Awards did not include a Lifetime Achievement Award category. Past winners of the category included ‘Bird’ Thongchai McIntyre and 80s pop trio สาว สาว สาว.
