bRothers Music boy group Proxie marked two years since their debut on 29 April with the aptly-named hashtags #2yearsLovePROXIE2much and #Happy2ndPROXIEversary.
ChaPop takes a look at the boy group’s two-year journey, from debut to international fame.
DEBUT, THEN STARDOM
The six-member group comprises members ‘Gun’ Ratchanon Ruanpetch, ‘Kim’ Pannathorn Jirasart, ‘Chokun’ Pavaris Srichaichana, ‘Gorn’ Wannapairote, ‘Onglee’ Oscar Edward Wattraserte, as well as ‘Victor’ Vorameth Kornubrabhan.
The boys were winners of The Brothers Thailand idol survival show that aired in 2020. They were then signed to bRothers Music, which is headed by actor-host ‘Tik’ Jesdaporn Pholdee, after winning the competition.
On 29 April 2022, Proxie burst into the scene with the infectious smash-hit Crazy Love, whose futuristic music video was a riot of colours and high energy.
But it would be the group’s second single คนไม่คุย (Silent Mode) – also released in 2022 – that propelled Proxie to super-stardom.
Its catchy dance moves, coupled with easy-to-remember chorus, meant the song stayed in everyone’s minds – and at the top of the charts – for weeks on end. In fact, at the time of this article, the official MV has gained over 30 million views on Youtube.
In 2023, they released their first studio album Data Storage, a nine-track album containing most of their smash hits. The physical album came in seven versions: one group version, and six separate versions for each member.
Proxie more recently also ventured into a special project with Grammy Gold group New Country, producing two covers: Proxie’s own hit ตบปาก (On That Day and New Country’s รบกวนเอ็นดู.
BRAND ENDORSEMENTS
The group has clinched several brand endorsement deals, including fronting Pepsi Thailand’s campaign in 2023 (and joining forces with girl group 4EVE on a duet).
This year, the group were again picked as Pepsi brand ambassadors, working with ‘Nene’ Pornnappan Pornpenpipa for this year’s campaign song.
Proxie were – very appropriately – selected as brand ambassadors for Brother printers, in a campaign called ‘Let’s bro with Proxie’.

The group also fronts other brand campaigns with Clean & Clear, drinks brand Kato, as well as beauty firm Banobagi.
CONCERTS
To mark their first anniversary in 2023, the group held their first-ever concert, called Proxie The 1st Concert “Access”, at Thunder Dome, Muang Thong Thani in Bangkok.
They have appeared in music festivals such as Big Mountain Music Festival (in 2022 and 2023), Gotcha Pop Concert, as well as T-Pop Concert Fest.
The group ventured overseas this year, joining other T-Pops act to head to Japan as part of the T-POP Showcase Tokyo 2024.

ACTING STINTS
It was not just music that Proxie dabbled in: in 2022, the six members also starred in the movie My Tempo. Some members, including ‘Onglee’ and ‘Chokun’ have guest-starred in music videos of other T-Pop artistes, such as Milli and PRETZELLE.
SOLO PROJECTS
In 2024, the group said they would be focusing on solo projects. So far, half the group – ‘Chokun’, ‘Gun’ and ‘Gorn’ – have released their solo tracks, and the rest of the group will do so in the coming months.
Still, despite a hiatus from making music as a group, Proxie is primed to continue growing. A post from the group on X (formerly known as Twitter) expresses hope that the “six shades will continue to shine brightly”.
And addressing the ‘Users’ (Proxie’s fandom name), the post states: “Thank you for always being by Proxie’s side. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
