Rock legends Getsunova, they’re taking it to the streets – literally – to soft launch an upcoming song, and it’s garnered the attention of fans.

Over the past few days, followers of the band on social media would have watched a series of videos featuring lead singer ‘Name’ Prakarn.

It starts with Name approaching label executives (Getsunova are signed to White Music) to ask about a possible release date for the new song.

Viewers are not given an answer, and instead gets posed the question: When will the new song release?

Name then takes to the streets, where he approaches members of the public with a snippet of the song – to hilarious results. One student recognises him, but later says she could not “click” with the song.

Another interviewee, a school-going teenager, does not recognise him, adding that the song “sounds like something (his) father might like”. Ouch.

The band’s latest post shows them performing that snippet in the busy cross junction near Bangkok’s Asok BTS station – again with not much response.

It’s unclear if there will be more of such videos, but it’s clear viewers (including us at ChaPop!) are thoroughly entertained, with some asking for more of these videos. Others have also praised the songwriting, based solely off the song snippets being played.
