Celebrity couple Gavin:D and Pui Pantipa have announced their split after nearly seven years of marriage, in a move that sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry.
In separate social media posts, the pair said they made the decision to end their marriage after careful consideration, stressing that this was the inevitable last resort.
The couple also confirm there was no third party involved, but note that the matter “has been dragged into a very complicated situation”.
“We kindly ask everone to respect our privacy as we begin a new chapter in our lives,” according to a statement from Pui.
The confirmation came hours after netizens noticed Pui – a model and digital creator – no longer followed Gavin:D on social media.
Pui and Gavin:D, who was formerly from the 2010s group 3.2.1, married in 2019. The couple have two children: Cyanblue Sky and Vanilla Sky.
Gavin:D posted an open letter on his Instagram, which had been wiped clear, leaving behind only two posts.
The letter, addressed to his two children, alludes to him having “tried his best to keep our family together”.
“But in the end, I had to accept that I failed, and this is probably one of the most difficult and painful things to tell my children,” he writes.
“One day when you are old enough to read this, I hope you will understand that even though I may no longer…be able to be a husband, I will never stop fulfilling my role as a father,” Gavin:D writes.
The post drew plenty of comments from fans and friends from the industry, many of whom offered words of encouragement to the 33-year-old.
