LYKN’s William will be starring in the Thai adaptation of the award-winning Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, playing its titular character.
The Thai musical will be a joint production between GMMTV and Bangkok-based live entertainment producer The Showhopper, and is set to be staged in 2027.
GMMTV announced the new musical in its GMMTVNEXT content showcase on 3 November, where it typically announces new projects.
Dear Evan Hansen follows the life of high-schooler Evan Hansen, who deals with social anxiety, and becomes caught in a web of lies after a classmate’s suicide. It picked up multiple Tony Awards, including for best musical, and best original score.
GMMTV’s adaptation of Dear Evan Hansen follows its staging of the Love of Siam musical in December. The sold-out musical is helmed by GMMTV actor-singers Fourth and Gemini.
