GMMTV has revealed the split of on-screen pairs JoongDunk and AouBoom, in a surprise announcement that caught many fans off-guard.

The statement on 19 October confirms the pairs will conclude their work immediately, and cites a “change in work direction” for the move.

“Each decision was made with mutual understanding and respect, taking into account each artist’s career path and future goals,” GMMTV adds. Both Joong and Aou are members of Riser Music group JASP.ER.

However, the agency notes that previously announced work commitments – as a pair – will carry on as planned.

JoongDunk – comprising Joong Archen and Dunk Natachai – were revealed as an on-screen pair some time around 2022, while AouBoom – Aou Thanaboon and Boom Tharatorn – were revealed in 2024.

JoongDunk were named as the leads for an upcoming GMMTV series How To Survive My CEO, which was announced as part of the company’s 2026 line-up. AouBoom, meanwhile, were slated to star Billionaire Biker, their first series as the main couple.

GMMTV in its latest statement does not address the status of these two series.

Nonetheless, the double-whammy announcement has caught many fans off-guard. Many expressed disbelief at the news, with other saying they were upset and heartbroken.

So far, none of the four artistes have publicly commented on the split.
