Riser Music has come under fire for alleged plagiarism, following the release of LYKN’s latest single ครั้งแรกพอทน (Not Again).

The label released a statement on 20 October, acknowledging the ongoing discussion about the new single.

It apologies for lapses in its “review process”, noting that it had been “inadequate and insufficiently thorough”.

The single has been taken offline and its distribution suspended temporarily, hours after it was released.

ครั้งแรกพอทน (Not Again) features popular comedian-musician Joke iScream, who raps in Korean in the middle of the track.

It was the Korean rap lyrics that some listeners noted similarites to a K-Pop track, prompting the online debate.

Riser says it will suspend the release of the track “while we address and rectify the issues before making the song publicly available again”. No timeline was provided.

The controversy comes days before LYKN will be holding their major concert in Bangkok’s Impact Arena. The LYKN Reflexion Concert takes place 24 and 25 October.
