Singer-songwriter The Toys shocked thousands of fans at the Impact Arena after dropping the bombshell that he had planned on exiting the music industry.
The What The Duck artiste said however, that the overwhelming reception he received across the two-day concert, had got him to rethink his decision, and encouraged him to keep producing music.
His announcement was met with emotional tears and hugs from fellow headliners Bright Vachirawit, Jeff Satur, and Nont Tanont, and loud cheers from the audience.
The emotional moment sparked an outpouring of support from fans, who rallied round the singer. Even What The Duck dedicated a social media post to the 28-year-old, stating: “Thank you for being the artiste who always produces great music. #WELOVETHETOYS.”
The Toys, whose full name is Thanwa Boonsoongnern, made his debut in 2015. He is known for songs like อาหมวยหาย (阿妹走), ลาลาลอย (100%), and ก่อนฤดูฝน (Before rain). More recently, he collaborated with labelmate Bowkylion for เลี้ยงไข้.
The two-day ‘Kingdoms Concert’ saw the four male artistes perform to a sold-out arena on both days. Each artistes performed their own songs, and took turns performing each other’s tracks.
