Palmy has hinted at her first solo concert in more than a decade, prompting a flurry of excitement from many fans – including several T-Pop artistes.

The Thai-Belgian performer first asked on social media on 19 June: “If there was a big concert, how many people would be coming?”

Two days later, Palmy adds another post: The month that it will be held will be September, on the 7th and 8th.

“Let’s go sit in the cool airconditioning of Impact (Arena). Is this convenient?” she asks, in what appears to be a reference to her recent performances in outdoor venues.

Almost immediately came the enthusiastic comments, including from T-Pop artistes like Tilly Birds frontman ‘Third’ Anuroth, Violette Wautier and ATLAS member ‘Poom’ Dechathorn.

Third from Tilly Birds said “More than welcome” – in a response to the question Palmy posed. Poom ATLAS, meanwhile, commented he would go and be filled with tears as Palmy sings her 2020 smash hit ขวัญเอยขวัญมา (we agree!)

The excitement is understandable, given Palmy’s last Impact showcase happened in 2012, at her Palmy Ka Ka Ka Concert. In recent years, she has not had a solo showcase, instead performing as part of music festivals, or other smaller venues.

Among other things, Palmy is known for performing barefoot on stage – whereever the venue is – and her outlandish costumes on stage.
