Bodyslam’s comeback showcase proved to be a star-studded event, with the likes of Jeff Satur and Joey Phuwasit sharing the stage – and emotional moments – with the rock legends.
‘Everybodyslam 2024: The Sunny Side Up Live’ was held across three nights in Bangkok’s Impact Arena, with the band performing songs off their latest album Sunny Side Up, as well as several other classics.
Jeff came on stage, guitar in arm, to perform แผลเป็น with Bodyslam – a new track that features the Wayfer Records artiste – to screams from the packed Impact Arena.
But perhaps it was Bodyslam frontman ‘Toon’ Athiwara’s cover of Jeff’s ลืมไปแล้วว่าลืมยังไง (Fade) that elicited the loudest screams – the former’s mellow vocals contrasting nicely like Jeff’s sharper and lighter voice.
Jeff would also perform his cover of Bodyslam’s classic hit เรือเล็กควรออกจากฝั่ง with Toon, earning him even more cheers from the audience.
Toon paid tribute to Jeff, stating that the 29-year-old’s voice and work ethics were “on another level”.
“My idol: Jeff Satur,” Toon said, gesturing to a visibly moved Jeff, and the arena erupted in cheers.

Like Jeff, Joey took to the stage with his instrument of choice – his phin – starting with the Bodyslam track ทางกลับบ้าน. They then took the energy up several notches with ปรากฏการณ์ผีเสื้อ, a new Bodyslam track which features Joey.
More impressively, Joey showed off his singing chops when he performed another Bodyslam track, คิดฮอด, which originally featured country legend Siriporn Ampaipong. The falsettos – a Joey Phuwasit signature – came off effortlessly, adding his flair to the classic.
On Instagram after the concert, he wrote that he was very grateful for the opportunity to perform with Bodyslam, adding that this “is a moment I would never ever forget”.
The three-night also saw guests like F.HERO and American-Thai rapper Daboyway perform. F.HERO came on to perform the rock-metal hit Leave It All Behind, which features the rapper himself, Bodyslam, as well as Japanese metal trio Babymetal. Sadly, the Japanese band were a no-show for the night – not that the audience minded.
‘Everybodyslam 2024: The Sunny Side Up Live’ was sold out hours after tickets were released in May, underscoring the band’s enduring popularity of more than two decades.
Sunny Side Up is the band’s eighth studio album, and was released on 6 June.
