Big Mountain Music Festival (BMMF) will have fewer stages this year, with several smaller ones combined and new ones introduced.
The annual event – touted by some as Thailand’s Coachella or Glastonbury – will have eight stages, organisers confirm.
It includes the flagship Ferris Wheel stage, which looks set to host the biggest names in Thai music like Palmy, Bodyslam and Three Man Down. The Cow Stage, which featured in past editions, will also return, and will likely feature popular artistes.
Also making a comeback is the Block Stage, which previously played host to T-Pop’s favourite groups, such as 4EVE, ATLAS and PiXXiE.
Indie lovers will get to enjoy the Egg Stage, which also makes a return this year.
A new edition to BMMF will be the Black Stage, with a special focus on Thai rock. Bands already confirmed to be playing include Lomosonic, Getsunova, Bomb At Track, as well as The Darkest Romance.
Organisers have also merged two stages – Kratom and Chic – into a single “colourful, Thai-style” performance space for easy-listening music.

Crowd favourites Akojorn Pub and Rumwong Bar will make their return this year, with the former replacing the Camp Jazz stage at last year’s edition.
Apart from the musical stages, this year’s BMMF will also feature a photo exhibition marking the festival’s 13-year history, as well as the BMMF Mall, comprising massage spots, photobooths, and of course, official merchandise.
Organisers have also promised a wide variety of dining options at the twoday festival.
BMMF takes place on 7 and 8 December this year at the Ocean Khao Yai. Early-bird ticket sales begin 3 September.
