PERSES will be releasing a two-part album Alterland, as the five-member group make their return to music-making.
Alterland is PERSES’ second album, and is based off the phrase ‘Alter Ego’, where “one can create a new identity or another version of yourself”, says the group.
Alterland will be released on 8 October, shortly after the group’s second anniversary since debut, which falls on 28 September.
Already the name of the first single off the album has been dropped: Bodyguard will be released the same day as the new album.
In a separate statement, PERSES adds that the album will contain two EPs with the first being ‘Freedom’ and the second being ‘Creation’.
The EPs are based off the idea that “without freedom, there is no creation”.
The group has promised a new creative direction with the album: taking on “diverse roles and new music styles” that they have never done before. Here’s a quick hint from the group – pop music mixed with a “variety of styles like hip-hop, R&B and electronica”.
