T-Pop stars graced the runways at the Bangkok International Fashion Week, providing added star power for some homegrown brands.

Held at the Siam Paragon mall between 2 and 6 October, the annual flagship runway show – at Siam Paragon mall – saw Thai brands like Painkiller Atelier, Leisure Projects and Issue showcase their latest creations.

They tapped on T-Pop names like Proxie, DICE and LYKN, as well as actors like Jes Jesiphat for their runway shows.

Here’s a slice of the runway action:

1. PAINKILLER ATELIER

Painkiller Atelier’s autumn/winter collection is inspired by northern Thailand’s hill tribes, blending “exclusivity in design with inclusivity in spirit”.

The runway show on 5 October boasts a long list of T-Pop’s who’s-who, like Proxie, DICE members Otto, Obo, Alex and Maddoc, as well as Domundi artistes Keng Harit, Zee Pruk and Net Siraphop.

2. ISSUE

Issue’s collection, called Samsara, taps on the spiritual – a reflection on Buddhist teachings (especially about the ‘wheel of life’). At the same time, the collection invokes a sense of celebration, drawing its inspiration from festivities of the Thai-Chinese community.

The house featured a range of artistes for its show on 4 October, including queer icons Badmixy, Alie Blackcobra and Juepak, as well as Proxie members Victor and Onglee, and singer-songwriter Sarah Salola.

Actress Engfa Waraha (who is the female lead in The Paradise of Thorns) emerged in a stunning gown, looking ethereal with her headpiece.

3. LEISURE PROJECTS

This Fashion Week, Leisure Projects heads to the beach, with their party theme of ‘Dancing Under The Moonlight’.

Walking the runway are ATLAS members Junior, Erwin, Muon, Poom, Tad and Jet, GMMTV actor Dunk Natachai, as well as Domundi’s Keng Harit, Namping Napatsakorn and Thomas Teetut.

Attending the runway show on 6 October include the likes of DICE and Be On Cloud and Domundi actors.

4. KLOSET

The label invokes a hotel theme for its fashion week collection, calling to mind vacations and holiday trips.

Proxie’s Victor and Onglee again walk the runway for Kloset, whose show took place on 3 October.

Also in line-up are White Fox’s Kinn, Sonray Music trainees Peem Tanat (who is BUS member Phutatchai’s brother), and Yukun Watanabe, as well as one31 actress-singer Earnearn Fatima.

5. NAGARA

Nagara showcased its collection of flowy, tie-dyed pieces at fashion week, tapping on stars like Be On Cloud actor Jes Jespipat and White Music singer Peck Palitchoke.
