BRIQ Entertainment girl group Wizzle may be fresh faces in the T-Pop scene, but they have shown that a little magic can go a long way.
Wizzle comprises members Angie Nitchavee, Baitoey Pinyada, Gracy Pattanan, Pleng Phurin, as well as Sita Pavaputanont. The group has a unique start: they made their official debut – through the release of their smash hit อัสคารามุด (Ohm YaYa!) – on the leap day of 29 February this year.
Indeed, the elements of magic and mystique are clear in the group’s identity – for example, their name is a combination of the words ‘witch’ and ‘puzzle’.
Now back with their third single Truth or Dare, Wizzle tells ChaPop that they are looking to explore new singing styles, with some (musical) tricks up their sleeves. Stay tuned!
How did the group came to be? And why was the name Wizzle chosen?
Gracy: Hi, guys! We are Wizzle from BRIQ Entertainment, part of RS Music. It all started from auditions by the label when some of the casting team saw us on social media and reached out for us to try auditioning.

Angie: Yeah, and we’ve been trainees for two years and also had monthly evaluations to see who best suited the concept. Finally, it narrowed down to the five of us, as everyone sees now.
Sita: And why ‘Wizzle’ – it started back when we were auditioning together. The team noticed that each of us had unique, intriguing personalities. And when we danced together, our energy seemed to cast a spell of fun on them. That’s how the witch concept came to be.
Pleng: The name Wizzle comes from combining the words “Witch” and “Puzzle.” It’s like we’re a gang of mysterious witches; anyone looking for fun can find the answer with us.
Each of the members have different talents in music and dance – how did each of you come into music?
Baitoey: Each of us has a unique character and style, but we work together really well because we all love dancing and singing. We share the same goal to become an idol group known both in Thailand and internationally.
Angie: Exactly! In my family, everyone loves music. My brother enjoys playing music and singing, so I naturally absorbed that and developed a love for singing as well.
Your first anniversary since debut is coming soon – what has been most memorable for you in the past year?
Gracy: Over the past year, it has felt like a dream. We’ve become real artists! All three of our songs have been warmly received by fans. The latest song Truth or Dare reached one million views in a week, we are so thrilled!
Sita: We’ve had the opportunity to perform on many stages and festivals, where fans have supported us by attending, cheering, and encouraging us throughout. We’re truly grateful for that.
There are many T-Pop girl groups now and possibly more to come. What do you think is Wizzle’s difference from the others?
Baitoey: I think it’s great that there are so many new T-Pop girl groups emerging because it shows that the Thai music industry is developing and moving forward.
Fans now have more options to choose from. In one way, we might be competing with each other, but on the other hand, we push each other to constantly improve and always striving to create high-quality and innovative work.
Pleng: The word “different” can be hard to define because everyone wants to be unique. For Wizzle, we simply focus on doing our best at what we do constantly improving our singing and dancing skills to the top level, so we’re always ready for competition.
What’s next for Wizzle? What about international plans?
Angie: After releasing three fast-paced songs since our debut, we want to showcase our vocal skills with a slow song for fans. We promise that next year, fans will see something new from us for sure.
As for our international fans, we are working with the team to explore what we can present that’s different in the near future.
Anything else to add?
Sita: Please follow us on all our official channels “@WizzleOfficial_”. And don’t forget to add our new Line Openchat “MiznightClub” to get closer and chat with all five of us. Come talk to us there!
