OlymPop – the sporting event featuring artistes from T-Pop’s largest labels – has confirmed its date and programming, as it announces an expanded slate of labels joining in.
A week after it first released a teaser for the event, organisers now confirm that OlymPop will take place on 17 May at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok.
The cross-label sporting event – the first of its kind – will see participating artistes split into two teams – Orange Monster and Blue Devil.
While the sporting events have not been announced, organisers say there will be a two-hour concert to wrap up the whole event, complete with “stunning performances and special collaboration stages”.
Tickets to the first OlymPop will go on sale 1 March on the EventPop website. Prices start from 1,800 THB through 5,500 THB.
Along with ticketing details, organisers also revealed that five more labels have been added: BRIQ Entertainment, Boxx Music, BDL MD Entertainment, Club After Class, as well as Home Run Music.
The additional labels mean that the potential artiste-athlete list could include the likes of NEVONE and Wizzle (from BRIQ), MINDY (from BDL MD), as well as Ink Waruntorn and Serious Bacon (from Boxx Music).
