At least two T-Pop acts have put out Chinese-language versions of their popular hits, in time for the Lunar New Year festive period.
GNEST boy group PERSES on 24 January released 你怎么这么可爱, the Chinese version to their popular track Cuteless.
The song is part of the label’s ‘Heart At Track’ project, which sees GNEST artistes take on covers, or special versions of their music.
The group adds that the special version is released in time for the Lunar New Year and is “a special gift” for all their fans.
Fans will recognise this version of Cuteless: the boys first performed the Chinese version on the Tencent Music Entertainment Awards in Macau in 2024.
Meanwhile, Whoop Music soloist YourMOOD released 再见 – the Chinese version of his chart smash ลาก่อน – on 25 January.
Fans praised the 31-year-old for releasing the track, with one saying that he sang very well in Mandarin.
