Rock legends Cocktail capped off their 22-year musical journey with a grand farewell concert over two nights, with special guests, and visual surprises within a stunning set.
The Gene Lab band held their Ever Live concert on 30 and 31 March at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, treating fans to their classic hits, and never-before heard tracks.
The concert was originally a one-night-only affair, but tickets were snapped up so quickly that the band decided to put in a second night.
The fate of the concert was also called into question following the devastating tremors that shook Bangkok. Subsequent inspections later cleared the event to proceed, barely a day before the concert was to commence.
Still, the band pulled out all the stops to impress. Apart from the stunning graphics on set – which was put up in about 72 hours – Cocktail also wowed fans with a drone display over the stadium, with a myriad of visuals, including the band’s iconic logo.
The concert also saw its share of notable guests, including Bowkylion, who performed Cocktail’s ดึงดัน with the band. The duo also performed Bowkylion’s famous track recall (วาดไว้).
There was also a surprise show comprising the frontmen of fellow rock bands – Big Ass, Bodyslam and Potato – who joined Cocktail frontman Ohm for a medley of iconic hits.
Cocktail also paid tribute to the many people, past and present, who had helped the band along the way, such as other artistes, former band members, as well as producers.
And in a spectacular finale of fireworks, Cocktail gave their final bow. The band will now be embarking on a country-wide tour of each of the 77 provinces in Thailand, before officially disbanding.
Frontman Ohm perhaps put the experience best: “The time I spent with everyone in the past two days will always be treasured in my memories.”
