Tilly Birds has released their latest single Never A Waste of Time, continuing their string of English-language tracks in the lead-up to an English album.
Since its release on 11 July, Never A Waste of Time has earned plaudits from fans, many of whom were emotional after listening to the track.
Never A Waste of Time tells the story of ended relationships – symbolised by a countdown timer strapped on each of the band members – that had contained beautiful memories. The sombre, sometimes wistful, track also represents the beauty of goodbyes.
In true Tilly Birds fashion, the track is written, composed and produced by the band: guitarist Billy produced it, while lead singer Third wrote the lyrics, and drummer Milo composed and arranged the track.
The Gene Lab band also tapped on renown English producer SYPS (Alex Sypsomos) and Australian producer Nache Chan with songwriting. Tilly Birds has worked with the duo for their 2024 English single White Pills.
