T-Pop stars NuNew, Billkin and PP Krit were among the 10 overseas artistes to receive the ‘Recommended Persons of the Year’ award at China’s Weibo Music Awards.
The trio are the only Thai – and T-Pop – artistes to make the list, which also comprised a mix of Korean and Japanese groups and soloists.
NuNew, Billkin and PP Krit all enjoy a strong following in China, and have released some of their popular hits in Mandarin.

The annual Weibo Music Awards takes place in Beijing this year on 24 September. This year’s edition is the first time the awards – formerly known as the Freshasia Music Awards – has a ‘Recommended Persons’ category.
This year’s awards will also feature several Thai acts for the time, including White Music’s Samui, who is performing his debut single Up and Down on stage.
DMD Music boy group DEXX is also in attendance, as is DomundiTV artiste Save Worapong.
