Slot Machine’s Skyline Asia Tour has been postponed by organisers indefinitely barely weeks after it was first announced.

Citing “unforeseen circumstances beyond our control”, the Tero Music band says it is now working on rescheduling the tour and will update fans when it has worked out the details.

“We sincerely apologise to all our fans for the disappointment, and truly appreciate your continued support and understanding,” Slot Machine writes.

The band, which was the first to break the news of the postponement on 6 October, was to have toured five cities from October, including to Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei and Manila.

The Skyline Asia Tour was announced on 19 September, with ticket sales also kicking off in the five cities.

The tour is organised by Malaysia-based Banyak Bagus Entertainment, which only confirmed the postponement on 8 October, two days after Slot Machine first announced it.

A brief statement – containing several typos – from the organisers also cites “unforeseen circumstances”, but does not elaborate further, nor does it apologise for the cancellation.

“Ticket holders can request (sic) directly through their ticketing platform. We appreciate understanding (sic) and patience, please stay tune (sic) for further updates,” the statement continues.

Banyak Bagus Entertainment did not disclose what or how fans can pursue refund options. The social media post confirming the cancellation had its comment function switched off, preventing fans from enquiring.

An earlier post announcing the tour has also been quietly deleted from the company’s social media pages.

Slot Machine’s Skyline Asia Tour is the latest showcase organised by Banyak Bagus Entertainment that has been abruptly cancelled.

Checks revealed that this year alone, concerts by artistes such as Korea’s DEPT (뎁트) and US-based band Boyce Avenue, as well as a fan meeting for Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi, were all abruptly cancelled just weeks before it was due to take place, with fans having already bought tickets.

On social media, fans also blasted organisers for not honouring refunds, with many stating that they had yet to receive refunds for cancelled shows.

Banyak Bagus Entertainment has not addressed these controversies yet.
