4EVE and pop-rock band Purpeech emerged the biggest winners at the annual TOTY Music Awards, picking up awards across judges’ choice and popular vote categories.
4EVE continued their winning streak at the TOTY Music Awards, while Purpeech clinched their first wins – not once but thrice – at the awards show.
XOXO Entertainment girl group 4EVE won the Pop Artiste and Group Artiste of the Year awards in the judges’ choice category.
The seven-member group also picked up awards in the popular vote categories: for Female Group and Group Performance of the Year. It is also 4EVE’s third time winning the Popular Female Group of the Year award.
Meanwhile, Milk BKK band Purpeech was named Best New Artiste of the Year, beating out other nominees like Serious Bacon, guncharlie and rock band Little John.
The five-member band was also voted most popular band in a category that saw competition from the likes of Little John, Three Man Down and Yes’sir Days.
More crucially, Purpeech’s กลัวว่าฉันจะไม่เสียใจ (Fear) was voted most popular song of the year, beating out nine other nominees. Purpeech says they are “incredibly honoured” to have received the awards.
The night saw awards given out in more than 20 categories, split across judges’ choice and popular vote awards.
Winning Song of the Year was Youngohm, for his popular track ใจฉันตามเธอไป. The rapper was nominated in several other categories – including for Solo Artiste of the Year and Album of the Year – but did not win.
Album of the Year went to YUPP! Music’s Milli, for the martial arts-inspired album Heavyweight.
Ink Waruntorn, who notched several wins at last week’s Guitar Mag Awards, also picked up two awards at the TOTY Music Awards. The Boxx Music artiste was Solo Artiste of the Year, and was voted most popular female artiste of the year.
Sonray Music group BUS Because of you I shine continued to dominate the boy group vote, picking up the most popular boy group award for the third year running.
R&B soloist BLVCKHEART was voted most popular male artiste of the year, beating out other acts like BamBam and Youngohm.
