Rapper Milli wrapped up her run on the Korean hip-hop competition Show Me The Money 12 by placing fourth in the grand finals.
Still, the YUPP! Entertainment artiste hit a new career milestone by dominating global voting, despite not winning the competition.
The winner of Show Me The Money 12 was determined by fan voting, with 70% of the score from South Korean voters, and the remaining 30% from global fans.
Milli secured the most global fans vote, but eventually lost out to team-mate HAON, who was crowned the winner. The three other finalists were rappers NOW IM YOUNG, Tray B and Mason Home.
Just a week ago, Milli made history as the first international rapper to make it to the finals of the prestigious competition.
For her final showcase, Milli performed MSG, a bold (like its seasoning namesake) display of cultural fusion that blends hip-hop and the Thai signature Sam-Cha beats – all while dressed as a chef.
She was later joined by renowned Korean rapper Omega Sapien, bringing her performance to fever pitch.
“(Milli) served up a lyrical feast of aggressive flows and creative storytelling that solidified her reputation as a formidable artist on the world stage,” says YUPP!
Show Me The Money, which is into its 12th season, is produced by CJ E&M and airs on the MNET channel in South Korea.
It is known for revolutionising the Korean music industry, and kickstarting the careers of many known Korean rappers.
