The 13th edition of the Big Mountain Music Festival took over the grounds of The Ocean Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima, over the weekend, with over 160 artistes performing across 9 stages.

Among the long slate of trending T-Pop idols, evergreen rock bands, indie acts and ‘luk thung’ performers, Three Man Down was a clear standout with an explosive set on the second night.

Their performance of their upbeat hit คุยคนเดียวเก่ง set off fireworks at the packed Mountain Stage. The band then did a second, intimate set at the ‘Let’s Blend After Party’ for fans who clearly couldn’t get enough of them.

The Block Stage kept GMMTV BL (boys love) drama fans busy, with back-to-back sets by actor-singers Gemini Norawit, Fourth Nattawat, Satang Kittiphop, Ford Arun, Nanon Korapat, and Krist Perawat. LYKN, one of GMMTV’s newest idol groups, also made their BMMF debut on the same stage.

This year’s event also featured more international acts such as Lacuna, Loco and Yugyeom from South Korea; Kimberley, Sorry Youth, and Wendy Wander from Taiwan; and Dongurizu, OosedoChishima, Sirup, and The Rampage from Exile Tribe from Japan.

In the event’s lead-up, the organiser promised an enhanced festival experience, such as re-introducing dedicated services for VIP pass holders and capping the number of tickets sold. This is in response to the feedback it received last year.

ChaPop, who was there over the weekend, also met many international fans, a stark increase from the previous editions that ChaPop has attended.

Event organisers have also taken notice of this as well, with a dedicated registration lane for English-speaking international attendees, a feature that was missing from previous years.

There were so many highlights to leave the festival grounds with, but ChaPop just can’t seem to stop thinking about the supper options at the “ไข่เจียว (Omelette) City”.

We are excited to see what 2024’s Big Mountain Music Festival will bring!
