Our T-pop celebrities have been kept busy this week. Let’s take a look at what they were up to.
1. T-POP SHOWCASE TOKYO 2024
PERSES, PROXIE, QRRA and Quadlips were in Tokyo, Japan this week for the ‘Superball presents T-POP Showcase Tokyo 2024’ concert. The overwhelming reception they received highlights the renaissance that Thai music is currently enjoying. Speaking of enjoying, our T-Pop boys and girls clearly had fun in the city, basking in the many cherry blossoms in the gentle spring weather, away from the harsh temperatures in Bangkok.
2. THAI BOYS OF SUMMER
With temperatures breaching 40°C in Thailand and across Southeast Asia, our T-pop boys had little choice but to go topless to beat the heat. Bright Vachirawit, Daou Pittaya, Jeff Satur, LYKN’s ‘Nut’ Thanat Danjesda – and even PP Krit! – have posted pictures of themselves bare-bodied on their respective Instagram accounts this week. The pictures surely raise the temperature further, but we are totally cool with it!

3. BILLKIN’S ‘LAHN MAH’ OPENS
The GDH 559’s film, also known as หลานม่า or How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies has generated a lot of excitement in the lead-up to its opening, especially that this marks Billkin’s (Putthipong Assaratanakul) first film debut. While the premiere saw many Thai celebrities such as Jaylerr Krissanapoom, Golf Pichaya, Mike Angelo, and Thanaerng Kanyawee gracing the red carpet, it’s PP Krit’s show of support that evening that took the spotlight.
4. T-CELEBS AT BRUNO MARS
There were 24K Magic in the air at Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium last weekend, when American singer Bruno Mars performed a two-show concert there. Many Thai artistes were uptown to funk it up – ATLAS’ Erwin and Tad; FIRZTER’s First Sirinat; MEYOU, PMP’s Peem Jaiyen Thanabordee, and Zom Marie were among those who were there. Daou Pittaya, Offroad Kantapon and William Jakrapatr came together, while PUN expressed his love for Bruno Mars via an Instagram story update.

5. WIN METAWIN IN MANILA
The popular Thai singer-actor, who has a strong fan base in the Philippines was in the city to promote his debut international film Under Parallel Skies. He was with his onscreen pair, local actress Janella Salvador, where they held several interviews and met their Filipino fans. The film, shot in Hong Kong, opens in the Philippines on 17 April, and in May for those in Singapore and Thailand.
6. OABNITHI SHARES A COUPLE PIC
It’s the moment everyone has been waiting for – a couple picture with actress Prang Kannarun. The อย่าเอาเวลาของฉันไปให้ใคร (My Time) singer, who came public about their relationship earlier this year, took the opportunity of Prang’s birthday to publicly post his wish, and some couple pictures, on his Instagram account. Very sweet.
