Actor-singer ‘Bright’ Vachirawit Chivaaree was thrown into controversy again this week, after being called out for allegedly performing a cover track without permission.
‘Ball’ Torpong Chantabubpha, one half of Thai band Scrubb, hinted in an Instagram story that an unnamed artiste had performed ใกล้ (Near) overseas without obtaining the relevant permissions and approvals.

Netizens were quick to point out that the culprit in question was Bright, who performed the song live during his “Bright’s Home Party” concert in Japan.
Speaking at the sidelines of the press conference for ‘The Kingdoms Concert’ in Bangkok, ‘Bright’ admitted he was shocked at how the issue has panned out.
He further clarifies that as the concert took place in Japan, the application for the rights to perform the song was processed in the Japanese way. This, he says, could have caused the misunderstanding between Ball and his use of the song.

“I haven’t had the chance to talk, but if we meet, I’m always happy to talk,” says Bright when asked if he has spoken directly with Ball.
Bright has had an eventful week: first, rumours that he was dating fellow singer-actress ‘Nene’ Pornnappan Pornpenpipat surfaced while he was in Japan; days later Bright and Nene would confirm their relationship to mixed reactions from their fans.
