Here’s this week’s new music (6 – 12 May):
1. FEAT – PiXXiE
This bop, said to be inspired by Greek mythology – checks off all the boxes for a summer dance track: catchy chorus (what does F-E-A-T mean, we wonder?), heavy beats and stunning visuals. Ready, set, FEAT!
2. Mirror Mirror – VIIS
Girl power shines in VIIS’ third single, with lyrics like ‘Mirror Mirror, let me know / I’m not like anyone else / I’m the queen of the world’. But what we are low-key obsessed with is the hook mid-song, which segues into a impressive dance.
3. ส่วนต่าง (do it without me) – Bowkylion
It might not be Mother’s Day in Thailand like it is in the rest of the world, but Bowkylion’s newest track feels like a love letter to all mothers. The touching music video fits well with the lyrics (‘See, you’re doing fine without me / Take good care of yourself / I know you can do it without me’)
4. ขึ้นใจ (Unforgettable) – NuNew
NuNew’s highly-anticipated comeback ballad features his trademark smooth vocals, set against a well-shot music video.
5. เริ่มก่อน (If I Could) – Victor Proxie
The latest in the series of solo projects from the members of Proxie, เริ่มก่อน (If I Could) goes heavy on the R&B, with slick dance moves to boot. The music video nicely underscores Victor’s art-centric character.
6. Deep Talk – Pentor Jeerapat
Former LAZ1 member ‘Pentor’ Jeerapat is back with a second single, a track with 90s-inspired vibes. The music video is a visual treat, given how good-looking everyone on set are.
7. แผลเป็น – Bodyslam Feat. Jeff Satur
Rock legends Bodyslam team up with Jeff Satur for their newest track, which is fast gaining traction on Youtube. Jeff’s guitar solo mid-song is goosebump-worthy, as are the effortless blending of his and Bodyslam lead ‘Toon’ Artiwara’s voices.
8. Sunshine – Jackie Jackrin
The first single from the Trinity member’s solo project is a breath of fresh air, with feel-good vibes all throughout (We especially love the sunflowers!).
