LYKN member ‘William’ Jakrapatr has revealed that his family home in Hat Yai was burgled, with several items including his guitar being stolen.
The alleged incident took place around 22 or 23 May, according to CCTV footage posted online, as well as an account from William’s father. It happened when the singer’s parents were at home as well.
Writing on social media, William says the thiefs took items such as rings, watches and amulets, as well as his guitar.
“Ever since (the incident), my parents haven’t been able to sleep, constantly worrying if there will be another (thief),” the 19-year-old adds.
“I am very worried about my parents…I ask everyone to help spread the news as far as possible,” says William.
He adds that police officials told the family there was only a “5% chance” of catching the alleged thief. William disputes this claim, noting that there were clear CCTV footage of the burglary, and that Hat Yai is “not considered a very large district”.
Since disclosing the incident, William’s fans – including his fan club (@forwilliamjkp) have rallied together to spread the news and call for witnesses.
Fellow LYKN members also reposted William’s call for help, urging the police to take action as soon as possible.
