GMM Music has established a joint venture entertainment company with LDH Japan called G&LDH.

This is the first time GMM Music has formed a joint venture with a Japanese company, and is the latest in a series of partnerships it has signed in recent weeks.

Tokyo-based LDH manages Exile Tribe units Psychic Fever and Ballistic Boyz, among a long list of 200 other artistes.

In a joint statement, both companies state: “By multiplying LDH’s know-how such as artiste training, performances such as dance and vocals, and live production, and the possibilities of Thai entertainment, artists who are active not only in Thailand and Japan but also in Asia.”

The launch event on 5 June saw the boys of Psychic Fever and Ballistic Boyz attend, as well as GNEST groups VIIS and PERSES attend.

A promotional film for the joint venture hails the partnership of “two powerhouses” in the Asian entertainment sector, as well as a “double innovation, double growth for the new music economy”.

The joint venture comes days after GMM Music signed a strategic partnership with China’s Tencent and Tencent Music.
