Do you remember your first day in love?
Universal Music Thailand’s PUN hopes to rekindle that feeling in his latest single Day One, which has just been released, but is already starting to trend.
On the single, which is his second this year after Goodbye, PUN says that the nature of love at the start – or from ‘Day One’ – is “is very easy to understand, getting to know each other until “feelings begin to build up, becoming love”.
“But as time passes, we may neglect or forget the feelings of the ‘first day’ we loved each other,” the 21-year-old adds in a statement.
PUN drew inspiration for the song from personal experiences, and apparently wrote the song over two years.
PUN’s poetic flair in songwriting shows – ‘Feeling like day one / I hope you remember day one / before our love had just begun’ – and the track shows off his signature breathy voice, overlayed with a piano-laden melody.
Barely a day after the music video dropped, Day One has already began to trend on Youtube – clearly a topic everyone resonates with.
According to PUN, the song (and MV) form part of a wider narrative, and that this story will carry through his other music releases for the year. We are definitely looking forward!
