New music this week (1-7 July)
(Asymmetry) – Oabnithi
Oabnithi’s newest single is written and composed by Tilly Birds frontman ‘Third’ Anuroth, who is also executive producer. The smooth track talks about the “asymmetry” in relationships – hence the title “our best is not equal” – and ponders if walking away from such a relationship is the better solution.
Cocktail Feat. 22Bullets
Cocktail teams up with deejay 22Bullets for a fusion of rock and house music – check out the beat drop mid-song followed by a beautiful electric guitar solo. Plus – the sublime music video is cinematic. We’re also reminded that the song is one of the last few Cocktail songs to be released before they disband in 2025.
The Mousses
ไปไม่ไหวจริงๆ is the first track from pop-rock band The Mousses this year, that describes the bittersweet feelings of a break-up. The music video also stars ATLAS member Tad Thapana who remarked that it was an honour to work with The Mousses on the “touching” track.
(TRUST ME) – LYKN
Riser Music boy group LYKN return with (TRUST ME), a ballad about pining for someone who is already another relationship. It is in tracks like these that the boys’ vocals truly shine – from lead vocals William, right down to Hong’s rap.
(I really like you) – Ice Paris
We’re having intense beach holiday wanderlust after watching the MV to this feel-good track about being madly in love.
6. เอ็นดู – PARADOX
A cute MV for another feel-good track from Genie Records’s Paradox, this time featuring GMMTV actor Phuwin Tangsakyuen looking very feline-like.
