PERSES and VIIS impressed Chinese audience in Macau over the weekend with their high-energy sets at the Tencent Music Entertainment Awards 2024.
The GNEST groups performed a 15-minute set each, as part of Thailand’s T-pop representation at the awards show.
VIIS took the stage on Friday, 19 July, dressed in black, where they performed their repertoire of hits MIRROR MIRROR, ร้ายก็ได้ (Don’t Mind) and เล่นไม่คิด(Thoughtless).
On Saturday, the second day of the festival, PERSES ramped up the energy with their performance of My Time, ใกล้ดาว (Touchdown), น่ารักน้อยลงหน่อย (Cuteless) and Catch the Night. They wore a full white assemble, in contrast to VIIS’s all black on the first night.
Both groups will also make an appearance at the awards show red carpet segment on Sunday.
The festival, hosted by Tencent Music Entertainment Group, has since its inception seen Asian artistes sharing the stage over a two-day event, which then culminates with an awards ceremony. BABYMONSTER, BoA, Epik High, and NCT WISH were some of the renowned Asian acts featured at this year’s line-up.
