Bright Vachirawit has apologised after courting controversy again with Instagram posts of war tanks and other weapons while on a trip to the United States.

The singer-actor took to social media to acknowledge the controversy the now-deleted pictures caused, stressing that he had “no hidden agenda” in uploading those images.

The photos, included those of him posing in front of a tank with Hebrew words on it, and another photo of him holding firearms at a shooting range.

They came from a recent trip to Las Vegas, where he visited Battlefield Vegas, a military museum. Bright was in Las Vegas mostly for work, though the museum visit was for leisure.

Bright apologises after war picture controversy

“I’d like to assure everyone that there was absolutely no hidden agenda, despite what the ongoing debate on social media may suggest,” he writes.
The image of the tank sparked alarm with some fans, who saw the picture as insensitive amid the ongoing war in Gaza.

“I deeply apologise for my incomprehensions to such a senstive subject, and I fully recognise that it has caused psychological harm to society in relation to issues of war,” says Bright.

His label Cloud9 Entertainment also weighed in, saying there was “no excuse for an act of ignorance”.

“We wish to reiterate and affirm that neither the company nor the artiste intends to support any form of violence, especially war,” they state.

The debacle is the latest in a string of controversies Bright has been embroiled in recently. He was slammed for his lacklustre performance at the Kingdoms Concert in June, and later cancelled his one night showcase in Jakarta, claiming to be feeling unwell.
