GDH’s The Paradise of Thorns, which stars singer-actor Jeff Satur in his big screen debut, will be one of the six films in the Love & Pride Film Festival in Singapore.
The movie will open the 15th edition of the film festival, which showcases LGBTQ+ cinema and is organised by local cinema company Golden Village (GV).
This year’s festival focuses on “LGBTQ+ experiences, exploring love, identity, and the complexities of human relationships across diverse cultures”, says GV.
The festival runs from 27 September to 6 October, and takes place in GV’s Cineleisure branch. (More details can be found here)
The Paradise of Thorns will screen during the festival’s first day on 27 September, and again on 29 September and 5 October. Tickets are available at S$16.50 for GV members and S$18.50 for the public.
The movie, which has smashed box office records in Thailand, will officially be released in Singapore on 10 October, according to GDH. It is already screening in cinemas in Australia and New Zealand.
In the movie, Jeff stars opposite actor ‘Toey’ Pongsakorn as a gay couple who own a durian farm. The Paradise of Thorns also stars Engfa Waraha and Keng Harit. You can watch the international trailer below.
