Wedding bells are ringing for actors Mew Suppasit and Tul Pakorn, after a surprise proposal in the middle of a press conference in Bangkok.
Mew, who was holding a press conference promoting his new single Absence, was asked about the inspiration for the track, when he asked his partner Tul up on stage.
The theme of the track was about love and marriage, Mew said, before he got down on knee asking Tul for his hand in marriage.
A surprised Tul was initially speechless by the move, but also got down on one knee and accepted the proposal.
Fans at the event erupted into cheers as the couple embraced, exchanged rings and then kissed. (Talk about a picture-perfect moment!)
On social media, Mew posted a picture of their kiss, with the caption: “He said YES”. Friends – including T-Pop artistes like NuNew, Punch from 4EVE, Jayler and URBOYTJ – congratulated the couple.
The couple are one of the first few high-profile LGBTQ couples to get married after Thailand passed a landmark marriage equality bill in September.
Mew and Tul have been friends for many years, but were the subject of dating rumours in recent months.
In July, Mew and Tul confirmed their relationship in an interview, where they spoke about how they first met as friends many years ago.
Mew rose to fame in the boys-love series TharnType the series, while Tul acted in another boys-love series Together With Me.
