This year’s Monster Music Festival not only saw throngs of music fans, it was also attended by a delegation of international music industry professionals.

The two-day festival, organised by GMM Show, saw over 100 artistes perform across five stages, including the likes of known names like 4EVE, Tilly Birds, Jeff Satur, Bowkylion and ATLAS and PERSES.

Fans also had the chance to meet their favourite artistes at their official merchandise stands.

The 2024 edition saw a change in venue, with the festival taking place in Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre instead of the National Stadium in previous editions.

According the GMM Show, the change in venue means “this year, you can run from stage to stage to see your favorite artists in air-conditioning…not in hot (weather), and have fun every moment without any breaks”.

Apart from a change in venue, this year’s festival also saw the presence of 20 international music industry professionals attend as part of the Music Exchange programme of Thailand’s Creative Economy Agency.

The delegates, which attended both days of the music festival, comprised other festival organisers and artiste booking agents.

GMM Show head Ted Yuthana says in a Facebook post that the delegates gave positive feedback about the performances they watched, which was said to be “different” from expectations.

“(This) will make it easier for Thai artistes to have the opportunity to…showcase their work abroad. Wait for the good news about which Thai artistes will be going to which events,” Ted writes.

He also hinted at more delegates, including representatives from the legendary Glastonbury festival and Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival, attending other music festivals at the end of the year.
