1. T-Pop groups gaining international fame

Riding on their domestic success, new Several T-Pop solo acts have gained international fame over the past year, including the likes of NuNew, Jeff Satur, Billkin and PP Krit. We think it’s time for more T-Pop groups – especially boy groups – to shine overseas too. We think that 2025 could be the year boy groups – such as BUS Because of you I shine, PERSES and Proxie – continue to grow their international fan base.

2. Cross-genre collabs

We hope for more cross-genre collabs in the new year, building on the critical successes of 2024’s collabs, including Joey Phuwasit and Paper Planes, as well as Milli with lukthung legend Hi Apaporn.

3. T-Pop to international festivals

We definitely hope to see more T-Pop acts at international festivals, including those in the Western world like Coachella. It’s been more than two years since we last saw Milli fly the Thai flag high (and eat mango sticky rice like a true icon) at Coachella as part of the 88Rising collective. The time is ripe (pun intended) now for more T-Pop stars to head overseas, especially given the Thai government’s ‘soft-power’ push, and more acts working with international producers.

4. Inter-fans-friendly experiences

A oft-heard refrain from inter fans navigating the Thai concert experience is the complexity and the lack of clear English information. Given the push to take T-Pop (and Thai music in general) to a global audience, it’s definitely a step a right direction to make the concert experience more inter-friendly.
