Jeff Satur has reprised his role as mentor on the upcoming second season of the idol survival show Chuang Asia.
The actor-singer joins two other new names on the mentor panel: Thai actress Yaya Urassaya and Chinese singer-songwriter Tia Ray.
Rounding up the star-studded judging panel are two show producers: Thai K-pop star Bambam, as well as Chinese K-Pop artiste Xu Minghao.
Chuang Asia Season 2, created by China’s Tencent, is set to air on 2 February on WeTV, and will feature 60 male trainees vying to debut in a newly-created boy group. The trainees were shortlisted following a global audition that began in May.
The first season of Chuang Asia saw female trainees compete, culminating in the formation of the multi-national girl group Gen1es.
The season, which aired in early 2024, saw a mentor panel that included Jeff, singer-actor Mike Angelo, Thai pop singer Nene (who took part in Tencent’s Chinese reality show Produce Camp 2020), as well as K-Pop star Jackson Wang, who was lead mentor.
