New music for the week of 13-19 January.
Oopsy Daisy – PP Krit
The highly-anticipated comeback from PP Krit trended on X after its release – and it’s not hard to see why. Oopsy Daisy is a visual treat as much as it is an aural delight, with its catchy beat (reminiscent of PP’s Ooh!) and iconic choreography.
ล้มแชมป์ (Only You Can) – Tilly Birds x Polycat
Also trending quickly is the first-ever collab between Tilly Birds and Polycat. ล้มแชมป์ (Only You Can) hit 1 million views on Youtube barely two days after its release, a new milestone for both bands. The track effortlessly blends together the musical styles of the two bands, and the cherry on top is the rap verse from Tilly Birds’ in-house rap maestro Milo.
เลิกตั้งแต่เริ่ม (EndBeforeStart) – Getsunova
Sharp-eared Getsunova fans will know this track was first played at 2024’s Big Mountain Music Festival. The band scouted the streets of Bangkok (we kid you not) to find the male and female lead to their music video, a nod to their previous marketing efforts which also involved trawling the streets.
I LIKE U, I LUV U – Matcha (feat. XX)
Yet another visual stunner this week comes from White Fox soloist Matcha, who teams up with XX (or Porsche Sivakorn) to serve up hotness on a platter. I Like U, I Luv U is playful, sexy and very danceable.
สมน้ำหน้าตัวเอง (Reflection) – V3RSE
White Music trio V3RSE channel 90s R&B vibes with their latest track about unrequited love. The track is produced by V3RSE’s labelmates Firzter, who reportedly took just 13 hours to record.
แค่คิดก็มันแล้ว – Silly Fools
Rock veterans Silly Fools have returned to music-making after more than a year with this up-tempo track talking about love at first sight, but not knowing what to do with those feelings. Could this be a sign of more Silly Fools this year? Watch this space!
Tell Me – Pretzelle x Dept
Pretzelle is collaborating with Korean singer-songwriter Dept (not to be confused with the Thai duo DEPT) for this English-language track. Tell Me is a city pop-infused track that is equal parts charming and catchy. The Thai version of this track drops in February, so look out for it!
