The organiser of PP Krit’s first-ever solo showcase has ordered The Concert Application to “find a resolution” to fans’ complaints about ticketing “irregularities”.
In a statement issued late 1 February, PP Krit Entertainment sought to address frustration surrounding ticket sales, which took place earlier in the day.
All tickets to PP Krit’s My Pleasure Concert were snapped up within hours, but many fans reported difficulty in securing tickets, and took to social media to vent their frustration towards The Concert, who is the ticketing partner for the showcase.
PP Krit Entertainment says its internal investigations “confirmed that the accounts used to purchase these tickets were registered and verified correctly”.
Fans had complained of the presence of bots, as well as scalpers who had resold tickets with a significant mark-up.
“However, the event promoters remain vigilant and would like to emphasise once again that they do not support ticket hoarding or resale at prices higher than the original ticket price,” says PP Krit Entertainment.
The company warns that anyone found engaging in “unfair” reselling practices could have their tickets revoked.
PP Krit Entertainment adds that it encourages fans to “continue reporting any relevant details” in relation to the ticketing issues.
“We sincerely appreciate the fans for providing information and leads,” it states.
“Regarding other reported irregularities, (we) have instructed the ticketing system provider to investigate and gather information to find a resolution. Updates will be provided as soon as possible,” says PP Krit Entertainment.
Fans doubled down on their criticism of The Concert, with some of them showing further proof of what looks like a ticket resale spreadsheet. Others urged PP to avoid using The Concert as their ticketing agent.
The Concert has yet to publicly address the controversy, nor have they responded to ChaPop’s request for comment.
