ATLAS member Muon will be exiting the group by the end of the year, in a bombshell announcement during the group’s fourth-anniversary concert that left many fans stunned.

The 22-year-old did not disclose his reason for leaving, but says: “Although I will not be part of ATLAS, I will always be supporting my brothers.”

XOXO Entertainment, in a follow-up statement, confirms Muon’s departure, adding that ATLAS will continue as a six-member group.

Muon will also appear with the group in festival performances scheduled in 2025, as well as existing endorsement commitments until the end of the contract.

Speaking at the anniversary concert, an emotional Muon tells fans that “my heart, my love and my soul will always be in the music and the songs”, even as he leaves the group.

Standing on stage with his groupmates, he says: “I look back to a beautiful journey coming to an end, and I will continue to look back (at it) for the rest of my life.”

“All of the good times will stay in my heart, and all the bad times will stick to me as lessons,” he adds.

In its statement, XOXO Entertainment says: “Throughout the time we have worked together, our company would like to express our sincere gratitude to Muon for his dedication, hard work and contributions in creating meaningful and memorable works with us.”

“We wish him every success in his future endeavours,” it adds.

In an Instagram post following the announcement, XOXO head honcho Chalakorn Panyashom reassured fans that there would still be projects that involve the original seven members.

He also praised ATLAS for “doing a great job” at the concert, despite knowing beforehand of Muon’s departure.
