Jeff Satur scored his first nomination for Best Song Asia at the inaugural Music Awards Japan, but missed out on winning.
The Wayfer Records artiste was Thailand’s sole representative at the awards, which was held on 22 May in Kyoto.
Jeff was up against other Asian nominees such as K-Pop groups PLAVE and aespa, as well as singer-songwriters Regina Song (from Singapore) and Bernadya (from Indonesia).
Girl group aespa took home the award for their song Supernova. The winner was decided from a vote of over 5,000 industry professionals, says Music Awards Japan.
The show also recognised Jeff’s awards at this year’s TOTY Music Awards in March, where he scored a record five wins for his chart smash ซ่อน (ไม่)หา (Ghost). Jeff was presented with a Special Award for Thailand Popular Music.
