New music for the week of 19-25 May.
Up And Down – SAMUI
Easily the hottest single of the week – in more ways than one – is White Music debutant Samui. Some of us may know him from the show LAZ iCON, while some of us may recognise him from the now-defunct group DVI. Either way, the now-solo Samui is here – oozing sensuality and dripping with plenty of showmanship.
ศัตรูหัวใจ (Your Worst Enemy!) – Serious Bacon
Serious Bacon’s signature pop sound meets excellent chemistry from ATLAS’ Poom and Nice, whose acting chops have gotten fans’ notice. The duo play frenemies for the MV of the track – to hilarious results.
See Through – FELIZZ
Let the fur fly: it’s time for FELIZZ, the newest girl group from Riser Music, who were formerly known as Riser Rookies. The cat theme is strong in the group’s debut single, a pop tune with an iconic dance. The MV also stars GMMTV actor Nani Hirunkit.
I Trust You – Daou Pittaya (OST ข้ามฟ้าเคียงเธอ The Next Prince Series)
Daou’s vocal prowress shines in the OST to The Next Prince Series, which stars actor-singers NuNew and Zee Pruk. The track I Trust You is a soulful love song about overcoming uncertainties while remaining steadfast.
ยอมถอย – Three Man Down
Three Man Down’s latest single is the final piece to a trilogy of songs (notice the similar story-telling style?). It is released in the lead-up to the eventual launch of the band’s third album, and is said to be an indicator of how the new album will sound like – 2000s-rock, with simple lyrics, raw instrumentation and distinct riffs.
