White Music soloist Peck Palitchoke suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a knife-wielding stranger, and is recovering in hospital.
The attack took place in the early hours of 3 August, at a petrol station in Bangkok, and left Peck with a deep gash under his chin.
The attacker, reportedly a 21-year-old unknown to Peck, had used a 20cm-long knife. According to media reports, the younger man claimed to have acted out of fear, after allegedly attempting to intervene in an altercation.
Peck was subsequently admitted to hospital where he received treatment. According to White Music, the surgery was performed sucessfully, with doctors confirming that it did not affect his facial and oral nerves.
On social media, fans and friends offered their well wishes and hoped for a speedy recovery for Peck. Most fans were also shocked that the attack took place, and urged for greater safety measures for artistes.
