G&LDH – the Thai-Japanese music joint venture – has opened auditions for the first “global boy group”.
G&LDH 1st Global Boy Group Audition: The Perfect Elements is looking to form a boy group made up of members from Thailand and beyond.
To qualify for auditions, applicants must be between 14 and 21 (born between 2004 and 2011), and must be able to rap, sing and/or dance. There are no restrictions on nationality or race, G&LDH states.
If they qualify, shortlisted candidates will be able to under a “double powerhouse” training programme, “combining the strengths” of Japan and Thailand.
The boy group will also debut simultaneously in Japan and Thailand, with “the opportunity to expand on the international stage”.
G&LDH does not mention how many members will form the group, or when applications will close.
G&LDH is a joint venture between Thailand’s GMM Music and Japan’s LDH. The latter manages Exile Tribe units Psychic Fever and Ballistic Boyz, among a long list of 200 other artistes.
The joint venture was first announced in June 2024, marking the first time that GMM Music has partnered with a Japanese music company.
