What The Duck has revealed three new trainees, which will likely form its new boy group under sub-label Whoop Music.

The trainees are Janus Sira, Jeewath Jirawat, as well as Junior Priya. The official Instagram account for the trainees were also unveiled on 1 September.

The trio will form the yet-to-be named boy group, and will be mentored by The Toys, who also hails from What The Duck.

What The Duck in November 2024 held auditions to look for fresh talent, and was looking for male trainees aged between 15 and 23 years old, and who possessed basic skills in singing and dancing.

The boy group’s focus will likely be hip-hop and R&B, according to the audition information. Both genres are the signatures of The Toys.

It is unclear when the boy group will debut, but the trio – Janus, Jeewath and Junior – made their maiden stage appearance as part of What The Duck’s School Tour ensemble in August.

They performed a series of covers as a trio, according to social media footage at the time.
