10 artistes – most of whom from the GMM Music group – will feature in a special tribute album to rock legends Cocktail, ahead of the band’s disbandment by the end of the year.
The Ours Ever album – a play on Cocktail’s farewell album Yours Ever – will see the artistes cover some of Cocktail’s most popular hits.
Among the 10 artistes on the line-up include GNEST soloist Tigger, as well as PERSES member Jung. The former is covering Cocktail’s 2024 hit ไม่เป็นรอง while Jung is covering the 2023 track ลั่นทม.
White Music’s Samui will be coveringโปรดเถิดรัก from 2013, while labelmate MEYOU will have the honour of singing the band’s now ubiquitous track Yours Ever. White Music soloist Monica, meanwhile, covers งานเต้นรำในคืนพระจันทร์เต็มดวง from 2011.
Rounding up the tracklist are artistes like Only Monday, Bomb at Track, Yes Indeed members Pause and Pancake, as well as rapper Porsche (aka XX), who is not under GMM Music.
The 10 acts will give “their own interpretation of Cocktail’s songs, not only in their vocals, but also through the production process”, says GMM Music.
“Prepare to absorb the musical spirit of Cocktail in the style of the new generation of artists,” the company adds.
The album is available on the Apple Music platform, where fans can listen on spatial audio.
Cocktail will be disbanding this year after more than 22 years.
The band held a sold-out farewell concert in Bangkok’s Rajamangala Stadium on 30 and 31 March, and is now on the home strech of their cross-country farewell tour.
