Popular actor Nine Naphat set social media abuzz, after revealing he is no longer in contact with his mother, the actress Mu Pimpaka.
Speaking at a press conference on 8 May, Nine says he has not been in contact with his mother for over a year. The 30-year-old adds that he was doing so for the sake of his mental well-being, but declines to reveal the exact reasons.
He adds that his last contact with his mother was in July 2024, following his high-profile split with actress Baifern Pimchanok. Since then, mother and son have not been seen together, nor did they mention each other publicly.
“I have my own life, she has hers…I am already 30 years old now, I want to be happy, and I want to choose the path that is best for me,” he says.
Nine also stressed the decision was made independently and without anyone else’s influence. Urging fans and members of the public to respect his decision, Nine says this will be “the first and last time” that the matter will be discussed in public.
